Inspire Play Therapy has evolved and I now offer lots of additional support as well as Play Therapy, creating a full holistic package of support around the child and their family, or adults who are requiring mental health support and wellbeing.

As a qualified mental health practitioner, Inspire Play Therapy offers bespoke packages of support including individual, parent-child relationship, supervision, parenting, and consultancy.

Play Therapy:

I offer Emotional and Behavioural support to children in Sussex. Ideally you would not want to travel for more than 30 minutes to Shoreham By Sea for sessions with your child.

Play therapy toolkit elements can also be used for adults such as art, sand and Lego.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing):

EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are a result of disturbing life events/ trauma. It works by the client tracking the therapists hand with their eyes which dual processes information within the brain. I offer this to both adults and children.

SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy):

This approach focuses on a person's present and future circumstances and targets realistic goal setting. This can be offered to adults, children or whole families.

BA (Behaviour Activation):

This is used a lot to treat depression and anxiety and is similar to CBT approaches. It focuses on goal setting and looks at patterns within thought processes. This can be offered to adults and children.

Creative Clinical Supervision:

As a qualified supervisor I offer Clinical Supervision to local therapists and trainees face to face or further afield via Skype. This can be through talking or creative methods.

Setting up Self-Employed as a therapist:

Having been self employed for over 10 years I am able to support others in the transition to self employed work.

Parenting support:

When working with children it is often evident that the family also need support/ strategies and ways of managing the child's behaviour. This can be looking at routines and practical approaches.

Parent- child relationship:

Sometimes there is an issue with the attachment bond between parent and child. These sessions would involve both parent and child working together to work through issues and work towards achievable goals.

Organisations often need some advice/ support for complex cases. I am able to offer reflective support for staff to help them to help clients they are working with.
